 Permanent Compression Set

Resilience is paramount for sealing performance. Seals made from WANTHANE®TPU exhibit excellent elastic recovery and outstanding compression set resistance. Even when compressed under high temperature and pressure, they quickly and precisely return to their original dimensions once the pressure is released, ensuring long-lasting, effective sealing.

 Mechanical Strength

Material strength is critical in sealing applications, directly determining the pressure a seal can withstand. WANTHANE®TPU possesses ultra-high tensile strength, enabling it to handle significantly greater pressures compared to traditional rubber seals, thereby robustly ensuring sealing security.

 Oil Resistance

WANTHANE®TPU stands firm against the erosion of hydraulic oils. It demonstrates minimal swelling, excellent resistance to various hydraulic oils, and maintains its tensile strength effectively. Even after immersion in ASTM 2# oil at 90°C for 28 days, it retains superior pressure-resistant performance.

 Service Durability

In real-world applications, seals must possess excellent resistance to heat, oil, hydrolysis, and abrasion. WANTHANE® TPU offers remarkable temperature resistance, suitable for long-term use within a range of -40°C to 110°C. It also features excellent hydrolysis resistance, effectively preventing degradation caused by heat and exposure to oil/water. This ensures the material resists cracking, loss of strength, excessive wear, or tackiness even after prolonged use.
