Building a Green Power Industrial Park to Slash Carbon Emissions Across the Value Chain
In March 2025, Wanhua Chemical commissioned its Haiyang Green Power Industrial Park, focusing on high-density lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode material production via the advanced iron-phosphate process. The park is designed to achieve two core objectives simultaneously: manufacturing premium cathode materials and enabling low-carbon green production. Operationally, the park is equipped with captive wind and solar power, using clean energy to produce new energy battery materials—thereby reducing carbon emissions across the entire production chain.
Extending Downstream to Cover Full-Scenario Battery Material Solutions
Leveraging decades of expertise in fine chemicals R&D, Wanhua has expanded downstream to build a comprehensive portfolio of lithium battery supporting materials, including NMP solvent, battery pack structural adhesives, cell potting and sealing adhesives, and lightweight composite functional materials. This enables integrated material supply from internal cell components to complete vehicle packaging. The result is a closed-loop industrial ecosystem spanning "captive green power → mineral resources → cathode and anode active materials → lithium battery auxiliary materials → power battery and energy storage end applications."
