Here Comes the New Member of Wanhua PMMA!

If you are a follower of Wanhua, you must remember the big event at the beginning of this year — Wanhua Chemical's PMMA production equipment successfully went into operation. Now after three months, we are very proud to announce the addition of the fourth member of PMMA product series.

HD01
Known as the "plastic queen", PMMA has become an excellent glass substitute material and is widely used in many fields because of its light weight, low cost and easy processing. Apart from the common performance, the four members of Wanhua PMMA product series distinguish themselves in different areas with their unique qualities.


  

HD01L
PMMA is widely applied in architecture. The most well-known case is the Olympic Stadium in Munich, Germany, the whole giant roof structure of which was made with transparent PMMA sheets. In outdoor environment, excellent UV resistance is a must for building sheets, and HD01 products are tailor-made for this purpose. They are fit for architecture, automotive taillights and other scenarios that require high weather resistance and color durability that can withstand 10 years of outdoor exposure. 



HD01A
Thanks to many of its features such as transparency and light weight, PMMA was used to make lenses as early as 1940. HD01L is a high-purity product made from an optimized process, which strictly controls the amount of foreign matters, impurities and fines in the product, leaving no more than 5 foreign matters per kilogram and limiting the fines size to under 100ppm. It is also resistant to forming flaws such as crystal points and pitting during processing, making it an ideal material for producing optical products such as ophthalmic and other lenses.



HD01B
Ceiling lamps are one of the most commonly used lighting fixtures for home lighting, which are generally composed of a chassis and a lampshade. With the advent of PMMA, glass lampshades have gradually been replaced. HD01A is specially designed for lighting applications. HD01A light guide plate features even light intensity, high luminous flux and high luminous efficacy, which provides an excellent lighting experience.



Beautiful spiral stairs can often be seen in grand hotel lobbies or duplex apartments. Common materials for stair columns include timber, glass and stainless steel. Now, you have a better choice — PMMA. PMMA stair columns are characterized by an elegant appearance, diversified shapes, comfortable texture and easy maintenance, which are increasingly popular. The production of stair columns usually adopts an extrusion process, which includes a certain period of high temperature processing, making high temperature resistance a crucial requirement for the materials. The variation of yellowness index (YI) of HD01B product can be controlled within 0.05 even when kept in 230℃ for 15 minutes, which makes it an optimal material for manufacturing products that require a long residence time.
