On August 8, Alibaba’s New Purchasing Summit 2018 was held in Ali Hangzhou Binjiang Park. Nearly 400 partners on Alibaba platform from all over China gathered together to discuss the future for the transformation of digital purchase.Wanhua Chemical Group was invited to the ceremony for launching Alibaba’s large-enterprise procurement platform.
Wanhua Chemical, a system-based innovative enterprise, has always followed the development ideas of low-cost and efficient innovation. Suppliers are an important component of the ecological chain, value chain and industrial chain of Wanhua. Wanhua Chemical has been seeking methods to improve the experience for suppliers outside the system, enhance the procurement efficiency, and reduce the procurement costs. With nine months of development and testing, Wanhua Chemical has achieved a cumulative online trading volume of 740 million yuan by dint of Alibaba’s large-enterprise procurement platform. In the future, Wanhua will team up with Alibaba to create a new e-commerce model for the chemical industry and establish a procurement ecosystem for Wanhua.
In the future, Wanhua Chemical and Alibaba will deepen the cooperation, realize the online procurement business, and serve business development with data precipitation, continuously optimize the whole process management of the supply chain, assist customers and suppliers in improving efficiency, and co-create a B-end e-commerce model for bulk raw materials and chemicals.
