Wanhua Chemical showcased the commitment to a sustainable portfolio at the 2023 Fakuma International Trade Fair for Plastic Processing in Friedrichshafen, Germany. With our diverse range of material solutions, we aim to meet the rising demand for these materials across various industries, including automotive, medical, 3C, and biodegradables.
Automotive solution:
Our PA12 solutions for the automotive industry were emphasized and we provided an in-depth technical presentation of them during the exhibition. The application of PA12 material in the automotive sector mainly includes two directions: tubes and coating. In terms of tubes, they mainly include air brake tubes, air suspension tubes, coolant tubes, fuel tubes and joint materials. Coating materials mainly include EV bus-bar coating, wire coating, metal tube coating, and heating wire coating.
In the field of commercial vehicle air break tubes, PA12 material of Wanhua boasts advantages such as lightweight, flexibility, low temperature toughness, aging resistance and solvent resistance. Furthermore, this material exhibits excellent long-term heat aging resistance and high-temperature burst performance. It’s meeting the requirements for long-cycle operation.
Moreover, we also showcased our plastic materials, including PC, TPU, POE, and modified PP, which are widely used in automotive tubes, lighting, interior and exterior. Additionally, our materials have been utilized for infrastructure applications such as power battery compartments and charging infrastructure.
3C industry solution:
Our PMMA and specialty PC series, which have high light transmittance and fire-retardant properties, are designed to cater to the growing demand in the tech consumption market. In particular, the PCR-PC product for charging adaptors and keyboards stands out not only for its use of recycled materials but also for its antibacterial properties.
Medical industry solution:
Medical plastic products of Wanhua have been supported by our integrated industry chain. Selective products are designed to achieve high biocompatibility and mechanical performance. At the exhibition, PC, TPU, and polysulfone products were shown, such as syringes and dialyzers.
Biodegradable plastic solution:
Leveraging the competitive PBAT and PLA facilities of Wanhua, the biodegradable products offer versatile applications, from agricultural mulch to catering supplies.
